A current balun functions perfectly as an un un, provided it is a real 
current balun.

Some baluns called current baluns are not.

The balun on 26-20B in the 18th Antenna book is marginally OK. It may not 
work perfectly, and require additional common mode choking on the 50 ohm 
side.
