[CQ-Contest] Contest Activities at the Huntsville Hamfest This Weekend

Hey Everybody, 

The Huntsville Hamfest is a very well organized event and offers a 
great variety of activities for all those interested in Ham Radio!   The 
hamfest website is at http://www.hamfest.org and contains all the 
information about the activities.  

If you are planning on attending the Huntsville Hamfest this weekend 
you might like to know about the contest activities that will be 
happening this weekend..  

Friday night, beginning at 7PM the Sunny South Contest Hospitality 
Suite hosted by the Alabama Contest Group, Georgia Contest Group, 
Southeast Contest Club and the Tennessee Contest Group will kick 
off.  This activity will be at the Holiday Inn adjacent to the Von Braun 
Civic Center (VBCC).  Of course this is a great chance to meet and 
greet with contesters from all over.

Saturday morning in the Redstone Room at the Embassy Suites, there 
will be three contest forums to include: "Introduction to Contesting", 
"RTTY Contesting from the Get-Go" and "Simple Micro-Controller 
Based Station Automation".  There will be chances for door prizes that 
will be drawn during these contest forums--you have to be present to 
win.   

On Saturday evening there will be a Contest Dinner.  Details are being 
firmed up now and will be available at the Sunny South Contest 
Hospitality Suite, Contest Forums and/or the Alabama Contest Group 
booth (look for our banner at the hamfest).  Additionally the Southeast 
Contester of the Year will be awarded by the Georgia Contest Group.  

You don't have to be a member of a contest club to join in with these 
events.  All those interested in contesting are welcome to attend.
