The inventor of Doctor DX (N6IA??) had it at the ARRL Southwestern Division
Convention in the 1980s in the hospitality suite of the Central Arizona DX
Association in Scottsdale.  He had a piece of coax allegedly running to an
outside antenna.  I remember K1ZZ and then ARRL President W2HD among those
getting a kick out of it.
