Going to have to agree with the general sentiments of the two TJs.
Sweepstakes is unique, steeped in tradition, and a contest where you must actually listen.
If you want a pure rate/mult fest, operate the NAQP.

One could perhaps say the same to those wanting to change the long-established CQ WW DX Contest by dumbing it down by merging Single Operator and Single Operator (Assisted).

Agree, SS is a one of a kind contest with a rich history. No reason to change it, there are plenty of other contests for those that prefer a different format.
