Mark,

I fully agree, ham radio communication is RF to RF, point to point or multi
point.
I do not even consider FM repeaters as true ham radio.
But that has nothing to do with the way one connects his microphone, keyer
and speaker/headphone to the transceiver.

Interesting information, I never knew that.
I understand that such technologies find their way in practical daily
situations.
Do not see what Norddeich Radio has to do with HamRadio Contesting.

In my opinion (and there's many others), HamRadio Contesting is about true
radio RF to RF. Not via landline, internet and such as clearly stated by
Paul.
