[CQ-Contest] Field Day Rules Change(s)

I guess that since I have gotten old things like this just don't bother me
anymore.  I operate contests (not sure if field day is even one) for fun and
so do my friends. I am not likely to "compete for a top score so I'm not too
sure why I even care about the rules. All I have to do is operate however I
please and then I don't send in the score! This allows me to have fun
operating however I please, it allows others to have fun by getting another
contact.

If you want to compete for a score then by all means you should follow the
rules to the letter (this makes FD a contest). If you are out for some fun,
practicing for an emergency, or trying out something new...do as you please.
It is up to you. I choose to enjoy myself.

I didn't think FD was a contest, either. In fact, I'm not sure about now,
but previous announcements for Field Day used to say you were supposed to
send in "A list of stations worked." This did not require a complete log to
be sent.
