 ??
? Twentyminutes after the contest began we lost
? all electrical power in theneighborhood.? I wasn't planning on
? participating full time anyway since we had afierce Santa Ana wind
? storm with gusts approaching 50 mph. So thetower had been retracted
? on Friday and now?the radios couldn't even be turned on with no elecrical
? service! I hadno idea when power would?be restored.?I also needed to?
? do some yard maintenance since there?was debris all over the property?
? and in theswimming pool.? By the?time things were under some modicum?
? of control,I was tired and it?was getting dark. The contest was a complete
? bust for me.? I played?for the last 2 1/2 hours of the contest whenthe?
? winds calmed.? Maybe?the weather will cooperate next year?
