It's finally here ..the Kansas QSO Party on August 23-24! Once again, we'll
celebrate with 1x1 callsign fun. Besides 20 plaques, thirteen mobiles, and
105 counties, we have 40+ 1x1 calls spelling KANSAS, SUNFLOWER (the state
flower) and QSOPARTY using the last letter of the call. 1x1 ops with calls
ending in Q, P, T, or Y (QSOPARTY) might be on part-time only, so don't
give up!
You can earn your choice of a certificate with up to two antique radio
stamps including the 1964 Amateur Radio stamp, the 1965 ITU stamp, the 1940
Samuel F.B. Morse stamp, two 1973 Progress in Electronics stamps, and the
Voice of America stamp (new for 2014). Also new is a drawing for the chance
to win our solid maple laser-engraved made-in-Kansas plaque, the same one
category winners take home. To enter the drawing, just turn in a log. The
more 1x1 calls you work, the more chances you have to win. Working BONUS
station KS0KS also counts as a wild card in the spelling challenge. Hope
you can join the fun!

available from the KSQP web site.
Bob, W0BH has gone to great lengths again to make sure this is a fun event
for all.
Hope to see you all this weekend!

Note: I'll be operating with the help of a troop of Boy Scouts on our first
campout of the season from rare MIAmi county. Many of these young men
earned their Radio Merit Badge at summer camp, and are eager to participate
in radiosport for the first time! (Good luck to my '746 and laptop.)
