OK you rate junkies: here's your chance. This week's NS RTTY session will return to practice format which includes DUPES! So let's see those big Q numbers!
Before the details, a quick recap of the five Ladder sessions just completed. Participation was a little underwhelming, although the last session perked up no doubt due to the big Sprint on the following Saturday.
The final results are listed at http://www.ncccsprint.com/scores-NSL-RTTY-02.html
A shout out goes to the following for the top scores in their respective division:
East Central division: VE3KI
Atlantic division: N3QE
West division: K7TQ for LP, with NN7SS close behind (score wise) in the QRP category.
West Central division: WD0T
NCCC in CA/NV: N6RO
Overall winner: N6RO (who really pulled out all the stops in the final session).
A big thank you to everyone who participated, whether it was one session or all five.
With a whole year to build participation let's get this show on the road:
-- 80m, 40m, and 20m: +80 kHz and up from the bottom. We'll wait until after winter to try 15M again.
-- Same-band dupes ok after one intervening QSO
-- 1 kHz QSY rule for both calling and answering CQs.
-- Same time:
-- 0145 to 0215Z Oct 17 (Thursday night Oct 16 in NA)
-- 6:45-7:15 PM PDT
-- 9:45-10:15 PM EDT, etc.
-- 100W, other Sprint rules apply.

New to Sprints or need a refresher? Ed (W0YK/P49X) wrote an excellent article in his NCJ column that explains the how and why of the Sprint format. For non-subscribers the article can be found here: http://www.ncccsprint.com/files/RTTY-Contesting-NCJ-W0YK.pdf
For general RTTY contesting and setup info don't forget AA5AU's excellent site: http://www.rttycontesting.com/
And don't forget 3610 kHz @ 0300Z for an informal get together and recap of the evening. Bring your questions and comments, all input welcome.
Diddle diddle!
