But didn´t display the points till the log submission deadline, so they
don´t know how they did.

Anyway I also don´t like this ARRL and CQ post receipt of logs that includes
category info, also bad for category hopping in other ways

Not really.  Both ARRL and CQ post receipt of logs as they arrive, and it
includes category info.
