Good idea, but a problem can occur when you have to go live to clear up
some complicated situation and your normal voice sounds so different from the
older recordings that the other station doesn't recognize you. Then it
takes extra time to clear up that confusion.
This happens now in contests where voices deteriorate during the event and
don't sound at all like the pristine recordings made prior to the start of
the contest.

before it gets worse. It seems important to be aware of this oncoming
