International Amateur Radio Union Region 1 Monitoring System shows a Russian
Navy F1B emission (FM radioteletype) signal on 14.192 MHz on a daily basis.
Could this be what you're hearing?

A little off-topic:

 > Thailand has over 300,000 licensed hams, second in numbers to JA, ...

Isn't that third? Thought it was JA, then W, then HS?!

Just curious ...

Well done to the team. This is a great resource which immortalises some
great guys.
I think a search on Sandy GM3BCL produces a nice set of results . He never
had any massive scores, but he didn't miss one SSB CQWW in 48 years. Sadly
now a SK. I cycled out to his house in 1972 to ask him how I could enter! I
will never forget his amazing shack which contained a full size billiard
table!

Subject: [CQ-Contest] CQ WW Online Score Database Completed!

The project to convert all scores for the complete history of the CQ WW DX
Contest into an online database has been completed and is now available for
viewing online. In a two year project led by John Golomb N2NC, a team of
volunteers typed in all of the results that appeared in the CQ Magazine
results from 1948 until 2013. The 2014 results will be added as soon as the
results are published.

The historical scores database is available at
http://www.cqww.com/score_db.htm. The total number of entries in the
database are 169,679 for SSB and 169,005 for CW.

We owe a huge thanks to the team that did the data entry:

Some great example searches include:

http://www.cqww.com/searchbycall.htm?cl=N6AA%2CW6DGH
http://www.cqww.com/searchbycall.htm?cl=PA0LOU

You can see how the participation has grown over the years by viewing the
charts at http://www.cqww.com/stats.htm

The all-time records for the CQ WW DX Contest are generated from the
database. See http://www.cqww.com/records.htm

Errors are bound to have crept into the results. Please take a moment to
search for your call and review your entries. Any corrections or questions
should be sent to questions at cqww.com.

Thanks again to John and his team for helping to create this fantastic
resource!

I have been copying a very loud signal from EU on 14.191.3. It sounds has a
warble on it. It is not RTTY or SSTV. Anyone hear it or know what it is? I

I copy it too here in YN, direction peaks are towards EU (short path) but I
can't get any tighter than that. I don't have any decoding abilities. But I
do hear it, and have heard it most of today as I tune across. Its not
terribly loud here.

I'm getting enough direct emails about this that I'm feeling the need to
make a general announcement...

I'm working on the dinner, which means currently I'm trying to minimize a
rather substantial price increase the hotel/caterer is quoting. It's taking
longer than I really want it to...

Just rest assured that you'll hear about it here when we're ready to sell
tickets, and please spread the word.

Thanks for your patience and 73 - jeff wk6i
