It's interesting to me that with the band change limitations that you have in M/S that the top score in that category is higher than the top M2X score. Even the 2nd place M/S score is close to the top M2X score of CR3L.
Some people might wonder how this is possible? Are the operators at those stations so much better that they can make as many QSO's and multipliers than another station that has an additional full-time transmitter?
It's obvious to me these M/S entries are using some type of lockout and have multiple stations on their CQ band and maybe on other bands when they can do one of their QSY's. In a sense these entries are really doing M/M but are not classified in that category because they have lockouts which allow them to transmit one signal at a time. Truthfully I really don't think is what CQ envisioned the multi-single category to be.
I have a feeling that many of the stations being DQed are for multiple signals on a band or multiple bands because their lockouts ( or they don't have one) aren't working like they should.
CQ should count a station to be on a band when they are listening on that band. Not when they are only transmitting. I wish they would look into changing the rules to disallow this practice. I bet that would eliminate some of the DQ's.
Congrats again to the CR3L team. They have a dynasty in the M2X category. We have been chasing them for 5 years from PJ4A and just can't seem to get over the hump.
