The TO7A discussion is great, maybe the first time ever that log "details" and
actual callsigns are posted in a thread like this.

The easy way to not worry about any of this is to just enter SOABHP(A). In this
age of RBN and local skimmers and bandscopes, it seems almost archaic to have
an unassisted class. Same with QRP/LP/HP. Why enter a competition with rules
that can't possibly be enforced? Disqualification is via a contest committee.

I was watching an ESPN blurb on Olympic racewalking a few weeks ago (the show
was about events that are becoming obsolete). This is the perfect analogy.

If the race is 10K long, imagine having two entry categories. The first is to
just run from start to finish. Simple. The second is a special kind of race.
One foot has to be on the ground at all time. To be DQ'd however, 3 judges have
to see you off the ground, with the unaided human eye. It doesn't matter if
slow motion video shows you off the ground with every stride. It doesn't
matter if the judges just see you a few times during a race. And the judges
can issue cautions. Not so simple.
