[CQ-Contest] Proposed rules changes

Hi

Entering the frequency don´t work. In the cabrillo will appear the default
frequency, for example 14000, instead you type 14027 in the logging
software, for example N1MM

Some years ago I had a failure in my main radio. I needed to use another
one, different than the main. Interfaces where different and I could´nt fing
the interface for the old radio. I decided to not S&P this last hours and
just RUN entering my frequency (ie 14027)

My surprise when in the Cabrillo I saw just 14000

I asked N1MM guys about that and they told me that this was a requirement
from CQWW CC guys. If you not use CAT, the frequency will be 7000, 14000,
21000, 28000

For me this is wrong, because rules say that you need to specify the
frequency, not that you must use a CAT, so If I run a whole contest in 14027
and I type 14027 and not use CAT, what´s wrong?

I didn´t check if the latest version of N1MM+ still do that

Have you ever tried entering the freq? Not hard I'll grant you but a real
rate killer if you are doing S&P. I did it for a CWT contest once when a USB
to serial convertor failed for the radio. Remembering to enter the freq is
also a pain. Very error-prone.

If you want to use a C-line there is no reason you couldn't manually enter
the frequency of each qso. That is probably accurate enough. Yes, it is an
inconvenience, but for example so is changing bands with a C-line compared
to a more modern radio.
