[CQ-Contest] Why SuperCheckPartial makes you assisted

Does "outside assistance" include or exclude one's spouse (or significant other, parental unit, or total stranger making a delivery from the corner deli) from providing the operator with snacks, a sandwich, or a drink?

Considering how some of the debates over "assistance" have gone over the years, the question isn't as ludicrous (at least to some) as it ought to be.

but the Contest sponsors determine what assisted and unassisted are.

The words assisted & unassisted -- the dictionary definitions that is -- and

the contest classifications that they are used as the labels of are not

necessarily the same.

The meanings of the categories/classifications, when used, may differ from

contest to contest.

So more often than not, the discussions end up without resolution because

the various participants aren't actually discussing the same thing.

I really wish a different word than "assisted" had been chosen when the

category was being named. Some of this heartburn might have been avoided.
