Greetings Diddlers!

Well here we are with another Thursday sneaking up on us. What? You don’t have anything to do Thursday evening? Well here ya go. Please join us for a bit of Sprint-style keyboard fun. If you haven’t tried it before, just jump right in and don’t worry about format. Just send s/n, name, and state in any order. Once you listen to a few of the regulars you’ll figure it out. Don’t be shy!

Welcome again to Jim, W5AP. He’s been in there before but its been a while. Randy, K7TQ and “Burt”, NN7SS were also back in the mix. Always good to have those additional mults in there.

W1NN posted a message regarding 15 meters for the cw NS, and I’ll admit I’ve been ignoring 15 myself. A quick check of HamCap shows that there is likely some propagation at our start time, so let’s take a listen (and a few CQs) on 15 this week at the start. Remember mults are per band so it’s not just Qs that may be available. The propagation maps out pretty long (W6 to W4) so signals may go right over those in the middle (Sorry Todd!).

Here’s the usual list of times, rules and extra notes for our usual Thursday soiree:

Friday, 22 Apr 2016, 0145Z - 0215Z (Thursday 21 Apr 2016 in NA)
-- 1845 - 1915 PDT
-- 2145 - 2215 EDT
-- (others in-between those two)
-- 160: 1805 and up
-- 80/40/20/15 +80kHz up from the band edge (Don’t forget to check 15!)
-- Same band dupes ok after 1 intervening Q.
-- 1 kHz QSY rule, otherwise standard Sprint rules
-- Mults per band.
-- 100W power limit.

Please visit http://www.ncccsprint.com/rttyns.html for complete rules
and links to other info. If you find any problems with the web pages, please
let me know so we can get them fixed.

Report scores to 3830scores.com, and join us at 0300Z on 3610 kHz
for comments and questions (and dinner menus).

Diddle diddle,

Ken K6MR
