[CQ-Contest] How to make WRTC more like the Olympics?

Many valid points in the comments from different sides.
Contesting community itself must take care of what WADA fails to do in
atheltics.
Radio contesting participants do not gain anything financially from
contesting. On the contrary, participating costs loads of money devoted to
station building and travelling to DX locations for important points.
Therefore, cheating should not even be on the map of radio contesting.
We all participate in contesting because we LOVE the thrill of quick radio
communication, and we wish to exceed our own limits. We do not compete for
the sake of making the big bucks. We do this because we are in love with
the hobby - not because we want to stand in the spotlight as winners who on
the way to victory have cheated.
WRTC competitors: Show good example to our next generation of contesters
by being 100% clean. Do not use more than Legal Limit Power for your
licence and for each contest. Do not manipulate logs. Do not abuse cluster
rules. Do not use rubber watches. Simple, right? 1 kW is the power limit
for most European countries - not 3, not 5 not 10... Simply obey!
We should be much more critical when we are aware of or on good
grounds suspect non-compliant colleagues who use tricks to qualify. Why are
we quiet? Because we are afraid of stepping on someone's toes? Because we
might ourselves be a little "flexible" with the rules? Because we simply
are not sure?
I like to be able to look fellow competitors in their eyes, and see honesty
from their faces when I meet them at competitions. If my conscience was not
100% clean, how could I possibly look into the eyes of competitors that
qualified based on full compliance with the rules?
We all know that in every sport of the world, no matter if Olympics or
WRTC, there will be rotten apples in the bag... This is the nature of
mankind unfortunately. We just need to constantly work on ourselves, our
closest friends, our own national partcipants - to encourage Fair Play in
contesting.
In the same way that we have a DX Code of Conduct, we already have the same
thing in contesting:
http://wwrof.org/contester-code-of-ethics/
It is simple, support Code of Ethics yourself and the more this code will
be spread, the cleaner our sport will become.
Competitors of WRTC should be ready to sign the Code of Ethics with a goose
pen and their own blood... When all will do that - we will have a perfectly
clean WRTC, from the first qualification contest to the last second of the
WRTC event itself.
Be clear with your "friends" when you meet them face to face, and explain
to them that their behaviour to qualify by using methods of doping/cheating
is NOT OK! If we do not talk clear language, they will not understand!
