The output power risetime (key closure to output power appearance at ANT output) of a typical transmitter is in the 1-5 millisecond range.
The reaction time is much shorter than a millisecond, so there will be no two signals on the air at the same time.
When thinking about this reaction time, think it is as long (short) as a single morse code dot sent at over four thousand WPM!

interesting to read the reaction times, and wondering , what is an acceptable reaction time? In reading the specs, it appears it is indeed possible to have two (or more) signals on the air at a time, even if it is for fractions of a second.....
