I have some small insight into the ARRL process. They still do a 30 day log
deadline; I do know they are looking at making that 7 days, which should
help. Log checking and scoring is done by volunteers and a few weeks are
allowed for that. Then the results go to the results article writer (which
is what I do for the RTTY Roundup).

My print deadline is roughly two months after I see the results. However,
if a results writer can get the web version done sooner, or if the writer
chooses to put together a preliminary report immediately after getting the
results (something maybe like what happens with the NCJ contests), the ARRL
is more than happy to get that posted. But it is entirely up to the writer.

I recently received the Roundup results and hope to have something together
in the next several days.
