[CQ-Contest] Some Observations

I would and have put newbies in front of the radio during cqww and the other major contests. Yes there have been issues that have turned into learning experiences both for me and for the newbie. The fact is put someone in front of the radio making contacts by far outweigh the loss of points.

These days I would not put a newbie on CQ World War. I would instead direct
them to a smaller contest where we don't have this much disagreement. Then
again we do sometimes such as with the IARU HF championship which had
disagreement over the same issue - self-spotting and cheerleading.

Seems you can't escape.
