Will track the email of the ARRL guy and ask him - It actually says band and mode

"6.3. All entrants may only transmit one signal at any given time; alternating CQs on two or more frequencies using the same band and mode is prohibited."

From that I am assuming alternative SSB and CW is ok as that is not the same mode

I would email the ARRL Contest guy and ask for clarification.

The rule is pretty clear that cqing in two places on the same band is a no no.  It does not make an exception for SBB to CW.  Do you really do that?  Why?

Generally people will run SSB then switch to CW for a while.  This is the first I have hard of interlaced Mode QSOs.
