I am pleased to announce that an online score database of all entries for
the CQ 160M Contest is now available and live on the web site. There have
been 66,311 entries since the contest first started back in 1960.

I must thank a group of people that are most responsible for making this new
resource available to the contest community. They typed the 30,456 scores
from 1960 to 2004. Thanks to AA4NU, CT1EKD, K1XX, K5ZD, K8FC, K9GX, K9VV,
KC1CWF, KE3X, MM0LID, N1XS, NN3W, OR2F, SV1DPI, W0MU, and W4AU.

With so many years of typing, we are sure to have made some mistakes. The
printed magazine results often did not include the calls of guest operators.
We are looking for your help to confirm the quality of the data entry.

ACTION>> Please go to http://cq160.com and type your call(s) into the search
box. You will see a list of every entry that you were involved in.

Is the callsign correct?
Is the QTH and zone correct?
Is the category correct?
Does the score, QSOs, and mults look right?

If you see an error, please reply to me with the call, year, and explanation
of what needs to be corrected. Send to k5zd at contesting.com.

One of the best things about the new database is that you can see the
scoring records for every category for world, continent, and country.

Electronic certificates are also available for everyone that submitted an
entry in 2000 and later.

Thanks again to AA4NU, CT1EKD, K1XX, K5ZD, K8FC, K9GX, K9VV, KC1CWF, KE3X,
MM0LID, N1XS, NN3W, OR2F, SV1DPI, W0MU, and W4AU for all of their
assistance. And to N2NT for serving as Director for the CQ 160 contest.

Randy, K5ZD

PS - Please forward this email to your contest club so others can enjoy the
database and help with the accuracy checking.
