Especially Sunday evening there was a lot of thunderstorm noise from a
storm running from midwest through mid-atlantic.

For me it was worst on 40M around sundown and then later in the night it
was just awful on 80M.

I called CQ on 80M Sunday but it is embarassing when you can hear several
folks coming back to your CQ, but you can't copy any of them through the
noise. So I went back to 40M.
