What was cool about the 50's that HAM Radio guys at that time looked like some kind of heroes... like someone who achieved something which was really difficult and to understand and unavailable for ordinary person.
Now most people look at us like we are a bunch of strange old farts who are about to lose their minds... :-(

What used to be cool about the results in the 50's was that they had a list of what the winning station in each section was using for equipment.Lots of "pair of 807's at 100 watts and a long wire antenna" back then :-)  Was really fun to look through the list.  73 Tom W7WHY
