[CQ-Contest] 30 M RTTY?

Jeff, agree with you. I've never seen any RTTY contesting on WARC bands.

Yes, have seen DXpeditions running RTTY into big pileup on WARC bands.

Yes, have seen special event activities like W1AW/100 running RTTY into big
pileups on WARC bands.

And as far as I know there are no CQ or ARRL or other sponsored contests
suggesting WARC bands are acceptable. The entire DQ thing sound hard to
believe simply because if there was a contest going on how do you exactly
address the entire band of violating contesters to let them know they are
going to be DQ. Not sure I follow the mechanics of that even if it were to
happen.

Back when during the ARRL 100th I operated 30m RTTY from both /6 and /7 and
it was definitely lit up like a contest or DXpedition, and this was
happening each week while the W1AW location moved to another state. Keeping
the pileup tight and also workable was a challenge, it was all too easy to
let it take over the band. It was also a lot of fun! 73 jeff wk6i
