Over the past 5 years, a tabulation of SOHP/SOLP against SOHP(U)/SOLP(U) for SS (CW and Phone),  the (U) guys are down 16-4.

In CW the tally is 9-1, in Phone 7-3.

If you look at the contest results, at least the ones printed in the QST
for the ARRL contests, the top scores in the unassisted categories are
almost always higher than the top scores in the assisted categories.
