we aren't even thru the ssb contests, yet the whining has started.

Is that like when during your run, the station (always weak and slow) comes back to you and sends your call twice and then his call twice (and then others, in their impatience, dump in their call while still others tune and still others call cq on you) all before he sends his report INCORRECTLY and then has to send it again? :-)
KQ2M: TU KQ2M
IU4***: KQ2M KQ2M de IU4*** IU4*** 599 dit dit dit dah dah dah (obscured by impatient callers)
(IZ2***, UR7**, and OL** all call simultaneously) and CQer:
TEST, N4**, N4**
KQ2M: IU4***, PSE AGN
IU4***: KQ2M KQ2M de IU4*** IU4*** 599 dit dit dit dah dah dah (obscured by callers)
repeat.... UGH! :-)
NOTE: The partial calls have been changed to protect the innocent. :-)

Let's not forget about a particularly favorite exchange addition of mine:
"Please copy..."
It's as if your mama taught proper social graces by saying, "If you're not
polite with these contesters, they won't work you."
Please don't say please copy. Please?

PS: Of course, this example is actually another reason why Phone operating
should be deleted altogether along with Abu Ail and Geyser Reef. That is
unless you are operating from a place able to generate 400 hours. Then it's
mostly OK. :-)
