The next time I operate with high power in ARRL DX from a DX location, I'll be sure to use an exchange of "2HP" (two horsepower), assuming that that's within legal limits from that site.
Or maybe it'd be sufficient to send "W&W" (watts and watts of power).

I always tell my students that every physical quantity has its unit. I too was drilled that way when studying EE.
So for power, it's kilo-WATT (or any flavor of WATT). No unit, no points, no discussion.
