I think that SS has a number of fundamental issues in todays contesting
environment.  Not sure that changing the start and end times changes it.

 

It seems that virtually all of the participants have been doing SS for
decades and very few new people are adding in.

 

If the people that do it every year want changes, great.  But I think that
the notion it makes SS less slow on Sunday, or increases participation are
misguided.

 

The concept of allowing more than one QSO per band has merit to me, but I
have never been an SS fan due to the SLOW 50% of the contest.
