During this C24 minimum I see daily WW dx spots on my NCDXF/IARU HF Beacon monitor 24/7
On a 2x25ft  wire dipole  @15ft above ground

Wkd 772 Q's in the RDX contest , using a 2el trapped tribander at 40ft and a home made 40/80inv-L
>From a 28 by 28ft city-lot, 400W.

Just Wkd XR0ZRC on 20m using that same tribander 10ft above the roof.

Oh..I had to be " patient" and observe the band for a week and a half to be able to work them at the right opportunity.......goes with the hobby.

No need for any  "virtual reality" instant gratification mode.

If you're into FT8 there seems to be plenty of DX spotted on a daily basis to keep your typical DXer happy despite the bad radio conditions.

Can you see the scenario in the future that those casual contesters are going to call for the sponsors to all add FT8 as a valid mode for their contest? Hope it doesn't happen and dumb down contests to the point where no skills are required.
