[CQ-Contest] Is RTTY Only a Contest Mode?

(I'm describing a world before FT8, so don't go saying that FT8 killed
the RTTY star, as that just isn't true.)

Only other places I've really worked RTTY was when working DXpeditions.

Outside of DXpeditions I've worked a few on PSK31 and Olivia.
