[CQ-Contest] TR4W, MK2R+, Virtual Ports

Looking for some help.  I'm trying to use TR4W with a MicroHam MK2R+ SO2R box.  I'm struggling with the CAT connections.  I see the two radios, but the connection is terribly intermittent to the point that it freezes the SO2R box. The displayed frequency pops in and out.  I've tried lower baud rates, etc. with no luck.  Even tried a second computer.

Anyone have any ideas, I'd appreciate a little help.
