5/17 M/M that posted on 3830 operated distributed. So basically 30% of all M/M experimented in this category. I’m already in contact - they reached out to us from M/M stations in Europe on how to do.
My post is about the excitement it has generated with young people and some of us OM. We have a youth program that is growing just not here in the USA but worldwide. The very first dedicated youth station is on the air from Europe (Croatia) for young hams under the age of 26. We are doing the same with generous hams or organizations in England, Norway, Puerto Rico and USA right now, these locations will come online soon. It gets even better, youths are giving back to youths. We have a few youths on the program that have opened up their own personal station(s) for other youths to enjoy. Anyone that follows me on social media knows about all of this.
We’re not doing this alone, we have generous station owners, organizations and Flex Radio all joining forces to make this happen. We have an announcement forthcoming on the organizations that have joined forces.
Young people are attracted to contesting - it’s like gaming to them. Just look at CWT results - you have some playing with the best in the world. Two of the youths actually experimented in a M/2 distributed in CWT at the 0300 session this Weds and made 300 Q’s and 70,000+ points but didn’t submit a score because the category doesn’t exist, they did it to have fun. These are just some of the cool things you may not be hearing or seeing but it’s actually happening.
This is my last post on this subject here. You can follow us on FB or Twitter to get the latest updates on what’s happening.
