Let me weigh in.  

I don't use "please copy" and I even have one of K9YC's "no 'please copy' buttons" but worrying about others using the expression is way down my list.  The top of my list is the execrable "1-877 Kars for Kids" followed by people who don't know the distinctions among "they're", "there", and "their" or between "too" and "to".

What exactly, Jim, is “the problem” that needs a solution?

About the only phone contest that I enter is SS, which has as its’ roots a test for traffic handlers.  “Please Copy” comes from there and I must admit to sometimes using the phrase.  I may make a point to do so more often.  What QRG do you commonly occupy in SS?

Most of these lids aren't new, and imitating what they hear on the air.
I DO correct them, tell them I'm not working them, and don't log them.
