[CQ-Contest] "500-meter circle" rule question

You’re over- interpreting the rule.

The rule was meant to ban remote receivers and transmitters. So for example
I won’t be able to use a web SDR in maine or Washington when I transmit
from NJ.

In a moving vehicle the transmitter and receiver are within 500m.
