[CQ-Contest] What to do with old QSL cards?

When I was in high school, our family was pretty strapped financially.  
After I got my license, I remember my dad putting my received QSL cards 
in his shoes to cover the holes in his soles.  He liked the glossy ones 
best, because they were somewhat waterproof.
