[CQ-Contest] KQ2M 50th Anniversary today-with contest history question.

Congratulations on the 50 years of being licensed.  Your email does bring up a question-since you had to log your CQs back then, what did contest logs look like?  I would assume they had quite a few unanswered CQs logged in them?  That would be much more labor intensive for paper logging than what we have today!

On August 10, 1973, I received my Novice license and called my first CQ. 
 (You were supposed to log your CQ's back then and I dutifully logged my 
first CQ on 80 M.  LOL!) 
 
50 years, all 340 countries and some 1,000,000+ qso's later, I can 
truthfully say that this is the most amazing hobby with some of the most 
amazing people that I have ever met.  Radio and Contesting have become 
so inextricably intertwined with my life, that it is impossible to 
imagine how different and poorer it would have been without them, and 
without the countless friendships that I have made and experiences that 
I have had.
