Not "luck," just failure to take the obvious precautions to avoid it, 
which include vax, mask-wearing, and avoiding close contact with those 
who don't take the same precautions. It's this carelessness that keeps 
the virus in circulation, not "luck."

I really miss the in-person hang-out time from Visalia, Pacificon, and 
Visalia, hearing live jazz in small clubs, dining in fine restaurants. 
But at 81 and 79, my wife and I are quite vulnerable to COVID, and we're 
not stupid.
