If you are using a logging program the 59/599 exchange has already been pre-recorded. Why repeat something that has already been automatically entered in your log? Doesn't make sense.

You had fun making it difficult for the "real" participants by screwing
with the exchange?

If you're not submitting a log, nobody cares about your power, assistance,
etc., but send the correct info to the other guy if you're going to
participate.  It's only common courtesy.
