I worked and confirmed that last 2 zones that I needed for the full 200 zones earlier this year. I submitted the excel submission sheet by email to Jose. The very next day, I received from Jose.by email a PDF of my 5BWAZ 200 Zone Certificate. It was the fastest service that I have ever received from an awards program manager in my 60 years as a ham radio operator.

I have not dealt with Jose yet, not sure if he is now doing 5BWAZ, I think he is. I did have dealings with the (maybe) previous 5BWAZ manager, and he was very easy to get ahold of and the dealings with smoothly. His call might have been W5FG?

I have never dealt with the CQ WPX Awards Manager, but the CQ WAZ Awards Manager Jose N4BAA is amazing. Usually a one day turn around if everything is submitted correctly to him by email.
I also have not received a CQ Magazine for months and I believe that my subscription is paid through sometime in 2025. I used to get a post card every year to extend my subscription another 3 years for a really great price, so every year I extended my subscription for CQ Magazine for another 3 years. It looks like CQ Magazine is probably having some financial difficulties. I hope for the sake of amateur radio that CQ Magazine works through their problems and stays around for a long long time in the future.

I have twice tried to apply for the CQWPX mixed award. Filled our the electronic application and a spreadsheet with calls, and emailed them to the awards manager. Both times I never heard back from him.Anyone else having issues like this with CQ awards? Their troubles seem to run deep.73 John AF5CC Sent using Zoho Mail ---- On Thu, 28 Sep 2023 06:57:13 -0500 mailto:cq-contest at contesting.com wrote ----After not receiving paper copies for months, and reading the handwriting
on the wall, I (foolishly?) subscribed to the digital edition this week.
I got the automated response acknowledging payment which stated that 'it
is now being processed'. Since that, nothing, no 'here's your password'
or other instructions as to how to actually read the digital edition. I
emailed them and also called - no response.
Folks have reported that while the paper version is flakey at best, the
digital edition has been reliable. Now I just need to know how to get it
going...
