I've used a G5RV, an OCF "Windom" dipole, a trap multiband dipole, and a home made fan dipole at home and on FD operations.
For years now I've stuck with the Windom for home high power operation, have not seen a noise issue but did have to put a choke balun to keep RF out of the shack because it is an unbalanced antenna. It does require a tuner on most bands. But it is the best performing of the four. Trap dipole next, G5RV, then fan dipole is my qualitative ranking of performance and what these days we call "resiliency"...
The last two don't need a tuner but were big pains to get up in the trees and keep up over the years due to weight and wind load. Another big advantage was the coax coming down 1/3 of the way out meant it did NOT have to come down in the middle of the rear yard - probably less of an issue on a roof.
The G5RV is still the FD antenna of choice for 100w operation - much easier to put up, and way more easier to roll up and keep stored than the trap one or the fan dipole. A bit shorter, too - if that roof top doesn't have a 135' run.
