I’m sorry, but I got my times mixed up for the weekly Thursday practice contests.  They are: : 

NS FT8 0100-0130 UTC

WRT 0145-0215 UTC

NS CW 0230-0300

 

Therefore, let’s move second WPX RTTY practice session out one hour.  The updated practice schedule is:

 

2100-2130 UTC, Thursday, 8 February 

0300-0330 UTC, Friday, 9 February (Thursday evening NA time)

That's right.  The WPX contest series opens this weekend with the RTTY mode.

 

On Thursday (NA time), let's have two 30-minute practice sessions to check out our station, software and operator(s).  The second session is between the weekly Thursday evening practices (RTTY WRT and CW NCCC Sprint).

 

2100-2130 UTC, Thursday, 8 February 

0200-0230 UTC, Friday, 9 February (Thursday evening NA time)

 

Operate just like it's the real thing that starts 0000 UTC Saturday (Friday eveNA time).  Use whatever bands are open and active for you in each time slot.  You might want to have a special message handy for those who tell you the contest hasn't begun!

 

Most of all, have fun over the weekend in the CQ WPX RTTY Contest.   Take some photos of you operation and send them and/or a summary of your experience to Chris, N6WM, Ccd above.  It will help in writing up the contest results article.
