[CQ-Contest] Ham Radio in the Future

Ah yes, those kids are an impatient bunch. I started in 1956 at the tender age of 14. Today, at 83, I feel the desire for more immediate results. Contest log checking has come a very long way from the days of the administrator looking over logs, digging out the log from the contact in the log you are looking at and flipping pages Lordy, what a job. I knew Ellen White personally and I was always amazed at her stamina.

This newer generation of Hams are not like we were (1975) They want results NOW!
To do a contest and have to wait 8 months for the results is a absolute NO-GO!
Prime example how many here have seen messages.....
"Geez I took my test Saturday, and now it's Wednesday, How come I don't have my License yet"?
Un-like when we started. I took my Novice test in March. The License finally arrived Sept 15th.
