I'm sad to report that Tom Taormina, K5RC, passed away Monday night, at 
home, of a massive heart attack. Tom was the proprietor of the W7RN 
contest station in Virginia City Highlands, SE of Reno, NV. He was a 
veteran of the space program, and until coming down with long COVID, 
maintained a  long-standing consulting practice. Long COVID was 
devastating for him, incapacitating him to the extent that he had 
decided to sell his home and move to Texas to be with family.  Sadly, 
Tom never got vaccinated. Many contests were won from that station. 
Local hams have been in contact with his wife Midge. RIP, Tom.
