[CQ-Contest] Many US stns out of band

Thank you for mentioning this, Doug.

I accidentally was just ever so slightly out of band, not for a contest 
but for just a regular QSO, and I felt horribly embarrassed at having to 
call quits to a great contact suddenly when I realized what I had done.  
I admitted it on the air right then and the other OM was kind about it 
and understood.

Since then I have ALWAYS made ABSOLUTELY SURE where I am before uttering 
a peep (or a chirp or key click 🙂).  I bet that "winner" you mentioned 
is just as chastened.
