Provided that like you I always work dupes, the station refusing the 
(2nd) QSO with you will probably not get a NIL for your busted first QSO.

Let's say that you worked IK3QAR but wrongly logged IK3QAA: you will 
have a busted call penalty, but IK3QAR will have a good QSO. At least 
this is true for CQ WW/WPX contests, not sure about ARRLs.
