>From reading all the recent emails about remote operating, it seems the real issue is what ham radio should be today, in 2026. If amateur radio survives, it will be because private non-commercial radio communication is still intriguing with new frontiers to explore. Modern communications are mostly digital involving networks of various systems, so it seems reasonable that amateurs will be be involved that way, too. As long as radio amateurs use radio as one of the links, they will be upholding their tradition.
