Has anyone else noticed the following problems with CT v9.10a?
Setup:
M/S, SSB, CQWW, interfaced IC-765's and FT-1000, networked and connected to the
KS9K PacketCluster node.
Problem:
1) ALT-F4 does not grab a spot. It puts you on the bottom of the band and
leaves the callsign field empty. The message on the botton is something like:
"ON SPOT FREQ 14000.0" Normally, it would include the callsign in the callsign
field and also the message at the bottom of the screen. I am certain it is not
a interface problem, as the ALT-J frequency table is correct, the band map is
correct, and pressing ALT-F4 again puts me back onto my 'run' frequency with
the message: "ON MAIN FREQ 14174.2" Also, CTRL-(right arrow) will properly
grab the freq and call, but is not nearly as convienient as ALT-F4.
2) When starting (or restarting) CT, it puts the radio on some predetermined
frequency. This can be a MAJOR problem if CT crashes (heaven forbid) during
the test. Scenario: CQ'ing away, CT crashes. Quickly load CT back up. DARN,
it put me on 14150. What was my CQ freq????? It is now lost forever, 'cause I
didn't write it down or remember it. By now, someone else is now CQing away on
what was 'my' freq. Another bad scenario: Last nite I was playing around on
40M SSB and was waiting to work Jim, ZD8Z. I had both VFOs on my FT-1000 setup
properly. I loaded up CT, and Jim just started taking 9's (by the numbers). I
dumped in my call. WHAT??? He came back to someone else??? Ooops, someone
said, "Wrong VFO!!!" CT took my radio out of split operation.
Has anyone else noticed these problems?
Thanks,
