DVP file format?

Has anyone ever published the format of the DVP files that are created
by DVPTSR?  

I'm going to write a conversion utility to make WAV files from them
and before I spend too much time reverse-engineering it, I thought
maybe someone has already figured it out.  It looks like a short
header followed by a bunch of 16-bit signed little-endian words, and
the sample rate is around 8 kHz.
